ZORAN TODOROVICH, Tenor


Born in Belgrade, Zoran Todorovich has won international recognition in the liricospinto and has appeared in leading theaters such as the Bavarian State Opera, Staatsoper Berlin, Netherlands Opera, Theatre Royale de la Monnaie in Brussels, Vienna State Opera, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Theatre du Capitole,Toulouse, L’Opera de Marseille, SemperOper, Dresden Deutsche Oper , Staatsoper Berlin, Royal Opera, Covent Garden and several others, as well as at the Bregenz Festival and at the National Theatre in Tokyo.
His broad repertoire includes most of the key roles for a dramatic tenor and in 2009 he had a great success when he sang his first Wagnerian role, the title role in Lohengrin which he performed at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. Zoran Todorovich began the 2010/2011 season with his first Andrea Chenier at L’Opera de Marseille. He returned to the Teatro Massimo in Palermo as Dick Johnson in La Fanciulla del West, after which he sang his first performance of Jean in Massenet’s Herodiade for the Flemish Opera in Ghent and Antwerp. Todorovich returns to the Bavarian State Opera in Munich as Pollione in Norma opposite Edita Gruberova and was also a partner of Gruberova in Roberto Devereux at concert in Warsaw.
He also sang the role of Ismaele in concert performances of Nabucco in Brussels and as Pinkerton in Tokyo.
In September of 2011,Todorovich returns to the Opera de Geneve, where he achieved great success as Manrico in Il Trovatore in 2009, in a new production of Andrea Chenier.
Then he made his debut at the Opera Bastille in Paris as Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino.
His projects also included his debut at the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona in the same role, and both La Fanciulla del West and Francesca da Rimini for L’Opera de Monte Carlo.
Todorovich also sang Turridu in Cavalleria Rusticana and Canio in Pagliacci at the Zurich Opera.
In 2013 he added a new Wagnerian and a new Verdi roles to his repertoire; appearing as Radames in Aida in Marseille and as Parsifal for the Flemish Opera.
In following seasons (2014/2015) he sang Fidelio in Liege, Otello in concert in Antwerp/ Gent, La tragedia fiorentina in Torino and at the Opera Monte Carlo with maestro Pinca Steinberg.
Todorovich also had a role of Dick Johnson at the new Production of Fanciulla del West at the Opera Zurich with maestro Marco Armiliato, Pagliacci in Moscow and Düsseldorf, Carmen and the new production of Turandot at the Deutsche oper Düsseldorf, La Rondine in Tel Aviv with Angela Gheorghiu ( with whom he sang a gala concert in Baden-Baden) and La forza del destino in Tokyo, and in the new production Le Roi Arthus at the Paris Opera Bastille with maestro Philippe Jordan. In the next seasons (2016/2017) he will make his stage debut in the new production of Otello at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
